Taking walks

Last weekend I finally got to appreciate the beautiful nature surrounding me on Chios. You should know that our city Vrontados is situated on a small strip of land between the ocean and some mountains. So there's only two possibilities: taking walks at the sea or climbing the mountain. Well, last weekend we did both.

On Saturday evening Kalliopi (my only female ally here) and I went to the ocean because we just felt like it. It was a beautiful night at full moon and we were delighted to see the sparkling water and the lights in the distance.

Well, as girls are, we took advantage of the moon light right away and shot some pictures which were totally worth the confused stares of other people.

On Sunday we decided to climb the mountain together. In the midst of dried bushes, stones and sand we walked up there and found a shady space beneath some trees. We spread our picknick blanket and enjoyed the beautiful view and the peace of this spot.

There are probably a lot more nice places on Chios which we'll discover in the future and I'm looking forward to that.
